The Body of Christ

Often I am asked which church I belong or what kind of religion I believe. Dear readers.  As a believer in Christ I belong to the Body of Christ I always answered to such questions. In I Corinthians 12:13 we can read the following verse: “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit”

The word Church comes from the Greek word EKKLESIA and this is 118 times in the New Testament found. The Name EKKLESIA comes form the verb EKKALEO I call out of. A group of called out ones. Not everytime when the Bible says the word church it is the Body of Christ. In Acts 7:38 Stephen means Israel. The crucified, raised and glorified Lord Jesus Christ was given to be the Head over all things to the Church, which is His Body. It is not a organization but a organism my dear reader. Ephesians 1:23. If you accept the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior automatically you are belonging to that CHURCH which is the heavenly CHURCH and Christ is the HEAD of that Church!

You can be a member of a local church in your neighbourhood for many years but if you are not a member of the true CHURCH, which is HIS BODY you are still unsaved my friend. So acknowledge that you are a sinner from birth Romans 5:12 and that Christ died for you personally on the cross on Calvary Romans 5:8 and I Corinthians 15:3 and 4 and thou shalt be saved!  Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved Acts 16:31
